Color guard, known nationwide as the “sport of the arts”, is one of the fastest growing activities in today’s high schools. It is a high energy sport that advances students into a new area of performing and visual arts, including dance,  theater, acrobatics, equipment manipulation (including flags, rifles, sabers and other props), and visual color. A variety of dance idioms are incorporated, including ballet, jazz, and modern styles.
